The Dead that Feed The Trees. Tyler Baker

FROM X YELLOWJACKETS
A mountain awakens to call in a blood debt with the living.

Tyler was born and raised in Southern Utah, where he’s lived his whole life. A proud father of two boys, he loves asking questions, exploring ideas, and finding meaning in the world around him. From a dignified blue collar background, he has life and people experience that drive his writing.

His passion has always been for the darker side of stories: horror, fantasy, and science fiction. His short stories, including one in the Wicked Shadows anthology, explore timeless themes that linger long after the last page. There are too many books and movies and never enough time, but he’s always ready for a chance to discuss storytelling with anyone interested.

Bradbury Manor: Michael Mizov

This debut novel from Michael Mizov demonstrates his clear understanding of story structure as a short film director. This novel pushes all of the familiar tropes of Gothic lit far into the post-genre direction by promoting feminist agency and transformation.
A feminist Gothic novel that reimagines the haunted house tradition through a contemporary lens. With a sharp and emotional narrative, this work combines atmosphere, family secrets, and questions of power and inheritance. Scheduled for release in Fall 2026.

Michael writes dark fiction that explores psychological breakdowns, fractured identity, and the strange absurdities of life. When not writing, he works in B2B marketing, renovates a possibly haunted Victorian house, and wrangles twin daughters with his wife in New Jersey.
